A dedicated Psychology Lecturer specializing in helping students apply theoretical concepts to real-life situations. Her blended learning approach creates a deeper understanding of subject matter — connecting academic knowledge to practical, actionable outcomes. Professor Lorie leads program coordination and student support at Gifted Gabber, ensuring every intern and mentee stays on track and has the resources they need throughout the program. She supervises all Research Interns and is available to provide guidance throughout the internship.

Who can apply to be a Research Intern?
Undergraduate students, graduate students, and recent graduates who have some experience with academic research or writing. You don't need to be an expert — you need to be further along than a high school student and willing to give structured, honest feedback.
What subject areas are available?
Interns are matched to students across Gifted Gabber's research programs — including Neuroscience, Biomedical, Nanoscience, Finance & Economics, Political Science, AI & Mathematics, Cybersecurity, and more. We match based on your academic background and the student's research area.
Is this a paid internship?
This is an unpaid internship focused on professional development, skill-building, and credential-earning. The Certificate of Completion, documented mentorship experience, and leadership credential are the core value — particularly for those applying to graduate school or academic positions.
How much time does it actually take?
Realistically 2–3 hours per week — a weekly check-in with your mentee (30–45 minutes) plus time to review and annotate drafts when they're submitted. Everything is remote and scheduled at mutual convenience.
How does this help a grad school or job application?
