Prof. Varkey and Coach Jen who were professors of Neuroscience Research Program were amazing! Their 'look over my shoulder' teaching style really helped me stay on track and improve, breaking down complex neuroscience topics and making research paper writing easy to understand. Working with them helped shape my research journey, offering guidance and feedback that truly improved my paper. Creating my first research paper was my biggest win, and the Gifted Gabber team gave me the tools and knowledge to build a strong foundation. I would absolutely recommend the Research Program to anyone looking to level up their learning, as it provides critical thinking skills, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
My experience with Gifted Gabber's Neuroscience program was amazing. Regular check-ins ensured my research paper developed smoothly, not at the last minute. Prof. Varkey was an informed and thoughtful guide on a complex subject. My biggest win was translating an idea into a research project and connecting it to my volunteer work. The program significantly improved my time management and disciplined approach to achieving my goals, teaching critical life and student skills.
Prof. Virgil, Coach Anusha, and Coach Jo each brought unique strengths; Prof. Virgil helped unlock creativity, Coach Anusha was encouraging, and Coach Jo provided practical tips. My son absolutely loved his Gifted Gabber research program in nanoscience, and it's fantastic that he even presented his research in competitions. What's more, he took his learning home, safely doing his own experiments to prove his ideas. This whole experience has truly motivated him to dive deeper into this field and achieve even more.
Jothsna Kethar was an incredible source of support and guidance during the college financial aid and appeal process with MIT, Carnegie Mellon, U Mich, Georgia Tech and other colleges.. The FAFSA did not fully reflect the significant changes in my personal financial circumstances due to special situations and she helped navigate through the process. Jothsna took the time to thoroughly understand and break down my current financial situation, helping craft the right messaging to present to the financial aid offices at the colleges where my child had been accepted. Her mentorship included invaluable tips on how to communicate effectively with admissions and financial aid officers, which greatly strengthened our appeal, which yielded in over $40K in merit aide. The information, support, and strategic guidance Jothsna provided were crucial in navigating a complex and stressful process. I am truly grateful for her help, which played a key role in securing the financial support my family needed.
Arushi accepted Temple University Neuroscience Honors programm with $86,000 merit scholarship for 4 years. In her college application journey, you played one of the main parts and crucial to her high school achievement. Thank You
UGA came out with EA decisions. I’m telling you, kids who have amazing profile got deferred. Some magic from you, Jothsna. I’m thankful to you for helping Saketh to get in. I’m telling my friends, hands down follow her.
We are so thankful for all the help you gave our daughter, Pujitha, during the college application process. With your support, she was able to build an amazing profile that really showed her strengths and interests. Even though she missed the deadline to submit some things, you were so kind to accommodate us and make sure everything was ready. You also advised us not to apply Early Decision to Duke, which helped Pujitha focus on the best fit for her. Thanks to you, Pujitha got into Stanford, which we didn’t think was possible. We couldn’t have done it without your help. Thank you so much!
Coach Jo helped me gather all the necessary information for my college applications and made the process much easier. She guided me through writing great essays, especially my Common App essay, which I was originally unhappy with. After working with Coach Jo, I ended up with an essay I love. Her 'look over my shoulder' approach kept me on track and motivated. The Discord group and group sessions were super helpful, with Coach Jo being responsive and answering all my questions. The Trello board helped me stay organized, though I wish I could update the cards myself. Overall, Gifted Gabber was a fantastic experience, and I definitely feel more confident and prepared to submit my applications.
College applications were confusing with so many things to track, like SAT scores, transcripts, and essays. I feel more confident about receiving acceptances after spending time writing and editing my essays instead of rushing. The sessions helped me stay on track, meet deadlines, and brainstorm essay ideas. The resume building and ensuring I met college requirements were especially helpful. I loved how we brainstormed the Common App essay, which turned out much better than expected. Coach Jo’s guidance, especially for an Indian student, helped me understand the process and improve my chances of acceptance.
Gifted Gabber’s counseling program provided great insights for both kids and parents about college. The sessions were very helpful, and Coach Jo gave me the confidence to feel like a strong candidate for top colleges. I loved how Coach Jo portrayed me in my applications—her approach kept me motivated and focused. My personal statement was spot-on and really reflected who I am. My parents, who handled my brother’s applications on their own, now wish they had hired Coach Jo because she has so many helpful tips and tricks for becoming a strong candidate. The program was very organized.
Coach Jo helped me stay organized with my application and improved my time management. The sessions felt like built-in deadlines, making me stay on track to finish tasks before each class. She’s a great instructor who really helped me. I feel my story came through in my college application. Submitting my application with a strong essay felt amazing. I’d definitely recommend this program because it really pushes students to do their best with their college applications.
