The SARS-CoV-2 virus, widely known as COVID-19, has had an immense impact on the world around us. There is still so much we don’t know about this virus and its true severity on the human body. The nervous system is a space where information gets taken through our senses. Then, we process this information and form a reaction. Recent studies have shown that COVID-19 has many ways to enter through the nervous system, including entering the brain through retrograde transport and connections, or even through nasal passages. Ultimately, knowing how and why COVID-19 affects the human body’s nervous system can help us dive deeper into what really happens when SARS-CoV-2 enters the human body.
